TNT Sports to Kick Off Third Year of U.S. Soccer Coverage with U.S. Men’s National Team Hosting Venezuela Saturday, Jan. 18, at 3 p.m. ET, on TNT & Max
USMNT to Host Costa Rica on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 7 p.m., on TNT, truTV & Max
Viewership Highs from Last Year Include Most Watched SheBelieves Cup Ever on Cable & Best USMNT Friendly on Cable since 2018
TNT Sports will kick off its third year of U.S. Soccer coverage with the U.S. Men’s National Team hosting 2024 Copa America quarterfinalists Venezuela in Ft. Lauderdale, on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 3 p.m. ET, on TNT and Max.
Next week, the USMNT will complete its two-match Florida swing by hosting Costa Rica in Orlando on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 7 p.m. on TNT, truTV and Max.
Veteran broadcaster Luke Wileman (play-by-play) will call the action for both matches alongside Kyle Martino (commentator) and Melissa Ortiz (reporter).
On-site coverage will include a 30-minute pregame show presented by AT&T and postgame coverage presented by Autotrader. Saturday’s show will be hosted by Katie Witham, while Wednesday’s coverage will be led by Sara Walsh. Analysts will be DaMarcus Beasley and Brian Dunseth.
All U.S. Soccer matches on TNT and truTV, as well as pre and postgame coverage, will be available to stream via Max’s B/R Sports.
TNT Sports produced several significant viewership highlights in 2024:
- The USWNT/Canada SheBelieves Cup, presented by Visa, Championship match in April was cable’s most-watched SheBelieves Cup game ever.
- June’s Allstate Continental Clasico featuring the USMNT vs. Brazil produced cable’s most-viewed USMNT “Friendly” since 2018.
- Overall, TNT Sports delivered a 24% gain in viewership when compared to cable coverage for USWNT friendlies in 2023.
- Last year’s USMNT telecasts garnered a 7% increase in viewership vs. comparable 2023 cable coverage, including CONCACAF Nations League and friendlies.
TNT Sports and the U.S. Soccer Federation are in the third of an eight-year multimedia rights agreement which made TNT and Max the exclusive English-language home to more than 20 Women’s and Men’s National Team matches every year. As the full broadcasting schedule is finalized, TNT Sports and U.S. Soccer will share the updated programming information as soon as possible.
In addition, Bleacher Report, House of Highlights and B/R Football will provide content to fans throughout the year, elevating the profile of the players and their stories with fans.
